A guest post by Howard Kessa of Floulex Web, who built this website.

My name is Howard Kessa. I build websites for churches, and I grew up as a pastor’s kid, so I know what a church means to the people who call it home. It has been an honor to build this new website for Fresh Wind Community Church in Indianapolis, and I want to share what I learned about this church along the way.
Why a church website matters
Today, the first visit to a church usually happens on a phone, long before anyone walks through the door. Someone is looking for a church home, a place to heal, or a place to bring their family. They want to know three things: when you meet, where to go, and whether they will be welcome.
So that is how this website is built. It is easy to read on a phone as well as on a computer, and everything a visitor needs is only a click or two away. My goal was for someone to understand who Fresh Wind is within a few seconds.
Restoration, revival and reconciliation
Bishop EW Muir describes Fresh Wind as a church of restoration, revival and reconciliation. I did not need to look any further for the message of this website. Those three words said it best, so they became the first thing you read on the home page.
From one family to a church in Indianapolis
Fresh Wind started in 2013 with just one family in Merrillville, Indiana. In 2023, Fresh Wind Community Church of Indy was launched, and in 2026 the church started a relaunch. A new website felt like the right fit for a new season.

The pastors
Bishop EW Muir is the Founder and Senior Pastor, a phenomenal and anointed man of God with over 25 years of ministry, preaching, teaching, empowering and encouraging the people of God. Serving beside him is his wife, Assistant Pastor Shaurice Muir, an anointed and appointed woman of God. You can read more on the About page.
If you are planning a first visit
Fresh Wind meets inside the Frederick Douglass Center at 1616 E 25th St in Indianapolis. Here is what to know before you come:
- Sunday on Saturday Encounter: every Saturday from 2:15 to 4:45 PM, Eastern time.
- Midweek Bible Class: Wednesday from 7:30 to 8:30 PM, Eastern time.
- Parking: park at the Frederick Douglass Center and come in through the main entrance.
- Children: children stay with their parents during the service, and there are baby changing stations in the restrooms.
- What to wear: you will see a mix of all of it, dressed up and dressed down.
Everything is on the Plan your visit page, with directions. If you have a question before you come, call the church office at (317) 296-4490 or email freshwindchurch@yahoo.com.
What Fresh Wind believes
A church’s beliefs belong in its own words, so I kept them exactly that way. Fresh Wind believes the Bible is the inspired Word of God. You can read the full list on the About page.
Ways to get involved
Fresh Wind has six ministries: Evangelism, Outreach, Men, Women, Youth and Prayer. To get involved in one, call or email the church. If you would like to support the work of the church, there are two simple ways to give, by Zelle or Givelify, and both are on the Give page.
Come as you are
A website can tell you when and where. It cannot give you what happens when you walk through the door. That part belongs to the church. If you are looking for a church home in Indianapolis, I hope you will start with the visit page. As Fresh Wind says, come as you are.
Thank you to Bishop Muir, Pastor Shaurice and the Fresh Wind family for trusting me with this work. To learn more about what I do for churches, visit Floulex Web.
